Recently installed Firefox 11 on a MacBook Pro with Mac OS X Snow Leopard.

Firefox runs but crashes every time I try to run Firefox>preferences.

This happens even when I remove the org.mozilla.firefox.plist and use about:plugins to disable them all.

Hey worminger,

Have you tried starting Firefox in Safe Mode? Hold down "shift" while Firefox is starting up. If the crash doesn't happen in Safe Mode, you should read Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems.

There is also a lot of useful stuff in the Troubleshoot Firefox crashes (closing or quitting unexpectedly) Knowledge Base article. I see you have already done some work yourself, but hopefully there are some steps here that you haven't tried. For example, you might want to try creating a new profile.

Hopefully this helps!
