I have never downloaded it or gone to the website, but somehow last week the Yahoo search engine got added as the default search engine. I have tried many times to delete it, but as soon as I type something in the search bar it uses Yahoo and won't let me use any of my other search engines.

Could some bug or something else have been put on my browser? What do I need to do to get rid of Yahoo for good?

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
