How do I get the security shut off so I a can copy & paste on all websites?

more options

To protect users' private information, unprivileged scripts cannot invoke the Cut, Copy, and Paste commands in the Mozilla rich text editor, so the corresponding buttons on the Mozilla Rich Text Editing demo page will not work. To enable these functions for purposes of the demo, you must modify your browser preferences.

This is the message that pops up....there's more i don't freaking understand wth it's talking about or how to fix it

Generally, it's not necessary to relax security for this because you can use the more typical Windows techniques for copying and pasting. By that I mean:

Copy: Select text, then one of these

Ctrl+c
right-click > Copy
Edit menu (Alt+e) > Copy

Paste:

Ctrl+v
right-click > Paste
Edit menu (Alt+e) > Paste

But if you really need to enable a site's clipboard related buttons, there is an add-on to manage the process. I haven't tried it myself. See: AllowClipboard Helper.

Edit: The reason websites are not allowed to manipulate the clipboard is for your privacy. The clipboard is shared by all your Windows applications, so allowing access lets sites read the last thing you copied in any application.
