On certain websites ffx gets balky when I scroll. When I center-wheel click a link to open the link in a new tab and then later close the new tab the main page will sometimes freeze temporarily or hangs as I try to scroll. If I refresh the page the problem goes away and scrolling becomes normal again. I have no problem when I use a different browser.

I tried unclicking "Use hardware acceleration when available " from the tools>options>advanced>general tab. It didn't help. Then I tried disabling all of my extensions. Didn't help either. Tried updating to ffx 15. Hasn't helped.

Hi RikRoll,

if the websites you said used too much flash try:

"disable the hardware acceleration" in the Flash Player too :

If there is a problem with scrolling the try to disable smooth scrolling:

  • Tools > Options > Advanced > General: Browsing: "Use smooth scrolling"

Did you try to update your graphics display driver?

Can you post a link to a few websites where this happens to you?

Are there any plugins used on that page?
