If i have a site open this site listed above will load by itself. I don't do anything for this site to open by itself, not even click on a button on another site. Also i have an ad on installed called Tenchis TV community toolbar and i have unchecked it in the menu but when i click on the plus button to bring up another site i get that companies home page. My home page is Yahoo and in tools, options general homepage Yahoo is there. How can i stop their home page with their search engine to stop loading without disabling it in add-on or uninstall it?

Thank You

Sometimes a problem with Firefox may be a result of malware installed on your computer, that you may not be aware of.

You can try some of the following programs to scan for malware:

Does anything come up if you search for that wod.igg.com URL on the about:config page?

If you do not keep changes after a restart then see:

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do not click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.
