On an Acer tablet using windows 7 my Firefox 22 continually becomes unresponsive after being left dormant for 5 or more minutes. The only resolution is to close and restart the program. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program several times and each time it says the installation was interrupted in the final stage. Firefox seems to work fine on my other two windows 7 computers.

You mention that you are using windows 7. So try first uninstalling it. Restart the computer, download a new setup and try installing it. If the problem persist again let me know.

Which security software (firewall, anti-virus) do you have?

Boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test to see if that helps or temporarily disable this software (may not work properly if some components keep functioning in the background).
