I'm using Firefox 23 for Android, and when I'm on Google's search pages there are no Search Tools so I'm unable to refine the search time frame, or location, or adjust the results. How do I get this feature without using the "Request Desktop Site" option as that page causes the browser to run slowly.

This is entirely up to Google to determine wether they wish to serve the same content to Firefox as they have decided for other browsers. We simply render the content they serve; it is up to them to serve it to the browser. Nonetheless we actively attempt to outreach to Google to determine what they need from Mozilla in order to conform to compatibility, sometimes it is tech related and sometimes it is business related.
