As of April 28th, I am unable to connect to my email account. Internet connection working fine. Account data is correct

That sounds like your anti virus program blocking Thunderbird.

Nortons is perhaps the worst for this, but it is not alone. Go into whatever passes for a firewall component and make sure Thunderbird is explicitly allowed access to the internet. A setting of Automatic is not adequate.
