My firefox can't be updated because of Potential Security Issue. I tried to directly download from firefox, but still can't download the new version. I tried to use other browsers to download from this website... still not successfully. https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/?reason=manual-update

Here is the detail I got from Edge: " This server couldn't prove that it's download.mozilla.org; its security certificate is from 1099cloud.com. This may be caused by a misconfiguration or an attacker intercepting your connection. "

What is '1099cloud.com ', which stops me from downloading anything from firefox website? How can I fix it?

I recently tried to set up Thunderbird to receive emails on my smart phone while on vacation. The phone was new, and I ran into all kinds of problems with it, including messing up most of my passwords. When I got home; I'm getting a sign in error on my email account, along with other problems. How can I reset to a new password so I ran open the emails that have stacked up?

I can find no difference of settings between five accounts that Get Messages just fine and several accounts that STOPPED DOING SO -- getting no emails even when I click on dropdown for individual account

I have an icloud email address in Thunderbird on my windows laptop. I changed my apple id password and the icloud email has stopped working on my laptop. It asks for a password and does not accept my new password.

So I have two exchange accounts. Both were working until a recent Thunderbird update. Now they both will receive email, but only one will send. The offending account will spine for a bit on send and error out with the change password or retry. Both do not work. I have tried everything from recreating the account to creating a new SMTP account. I am at a loss at this point. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I am using,

Thunderbird 128.4.1esr (64-bit) Avast as in the pic. Also the SMTP setting in the pic. These are the same as the account that is work bar the credential change. This on Windows 11.

For the past 3 days, I've been locked out of using Thunderbird email. When I try to open it, I get a "Your computer must be restarted to complete a previous upgrade of Thunderbird. Do you want to restart now ?" "Yes/No" option pop-up.

This is infuriating. After several hours, I'm still no closer to being able to use Thunderbird again.

If I choose to restart, nothing changes and I just get the doom loop pop-up again.

If I install uninstall (via Windows Control Panel), again I get stuck with the "Your computer must be restarted to complete a previous upgrade of Thunderbird. Do you want to restart now ?" message.

I can find no useful advice in the Thunderbird help and forums. It's recorded as a known issue. But no viable solutions found.

Using Windows 10. Looks like Thunderbird tried to update to 115.16.2 on 28-Oct-24 (not something I requested).

Please let me know how I can fix it.

And do something to fix this bug (which is a shocker).

I cannot click links from google search on Firefox (latest version - Windows 11) if they are an advertisement. Even an ad from Amazon from my search results. Example: I did a google search for scrapbook paper from a specific company. Google gives me a page of search results. In the top of the page are adverts from Amazon etc. One of them was one I clicked on for amazon. See screenshot 1. When I clicked on the one circled in red I got the second screenshot as a result. So then I clicked the exclamation mark next to http: on screenshot 2 which gave me this info in screenshot 3. I went back to the google search page and cannot open a one of those ads across the top. My husband has the same issue on his galaxy S7 tab and he hates not being able to compare prices by clicking those ads. I have on my desktop, as well as his tablet the browser privacy set to Standard. So what is causing this? I used to love firefox but these latest 3 or 4 updates have left it a hot mess. How do I fix this? It is not like this with other browsers. I have no issues with then at all. I have the same tablet as him, but it has not updated to the latest update and I am able to click those same links from it. I just ran the same search from my galaxy mobile using firefox 119.0.1 It works fine on the mobile version I am running (I know but this is why I won't update it!). Please tell me, help me figure out what is going on with this version of Firefox (version 132.0). Is it FF and google not playing well together or just a FF issue because as much as I like FF I am about to dump it for a browser that works. Just for GP, I only have Last Pass extension active. I have AdBlocker Ultimate but it is currently disabled as I thought it was the culprit and have not re-enabled it just yet. All those extensions listed in troubleshooting information I assume is things within the browser itself?? As I said I only have one extension active and only 2 installed. Please advise. Thank you.

Apologies if this has been asked and answered many times before.

Currently: wanting to transfer several existing Thunderbird profiles from Old Vista laptop to newer Windows 7 laptop that already has an existing Thunderbird setup with 3 existing profiles.

Export is taking a long time on he old Vista laptop.

Q? Can I copy existing profiles (folders) from old Vista laptop and paste them into the existing profiles folder on the newer Windows 7 laptop?

In summary...

Existing profiles on both old (source) laptop and new (destination) laptop.

Export from old laptop taking too long/Thunderbird hanging.

Q? Copy folders/profiles from old and paste folders/profiles into new?

A few weeks ago after an automatic update I ended up having Thunderbird version 131.0.1 installed, I have no idea how this happened. On opening I get a message telling me I shouldn't be using a beta version and that I should revert to the latest general release version (128.4)

Today when I had some free time I downloaded 128.4 and installed it. On opening it it says that I can't use a profile file from a later version with the earlier version. Is there a way to recover from this WITHOUT having to set up the whole profile again from scratch.

Meanwhile I have done a system restore so I am back with 131.0.1 It has not given me any problems so far. Is there a new general release version imminent that will get me back on track?

I would appreciate any help I am not a computer expert, just a user, and find Thunderbird a very good email client.

While browsing www.youtube.com, the site is not running smoothly. When I'm scrolling in the YouTube homepage, it's like cutting in the middle. On the other hand when watching YouTube shorts, when scrolling to a new video, it's like jumping and then loading, which seems extremely inconvenient. Overall the YouTube site is not working properly in Firefox mobile (Android 13). Note: I have tried the cookie delete option. Still persistent.

I often wake up my machine and immediately click "get messages" to see what's new. Often when I do this my request is blocked because the trash or some other folder is being compacted. This is annoying.

Why must tbird choose to compact just when I am trying to do something? Couldn't it do compaction and other such housekeeping in the background, when it would otherwise be idle?

With the latest update to version 128.3.3 in October 2024, I have lost the local folders to one email account and the address books to both email accounts. Any advice in how to retrieve them?
