   Enter a suitable name for the mailing list. 

but "mailing list" does not appear when i select file> new

I can click on View, layout then either Classic, Vertical, or Wide view and nothing changes on my Email inbox. When I installed the update on my desktop the view stayed as it was since I installed the program which I think it was or prior to 115. Thunderbird has been updated to 128.1. When I installed 128.1 fresh install on my laptop it has a card style view and I can't change it no mater which view the check mark is on. Restarting Thunderbird after changing the check mark to different views had no affect. Maybe I am misunderstanding the terminologies.

I am using Mac OS Ventura 13.6.9. I have been a Thunderbird user for many years. Since this last update, I have started having issues where not all emails are displaying. Seems like most recent emails open correctly, but when I get to emails that are a day or 2 old, I get the the following banner across the top of the screen when the email opens, but can't open the remainder of the email.

I have attached a screenshot to show what I am seeing.

I am using gmail and I can access the emails in gmail, but not in Thunderbird. What is the fix for this?

I recently updated Thunderbird. Currently now running 128.1.0esr (64-bit). The highlight colour (when I place the cursor on a message) is now a dark brown. I need to change this to another colour so that I can 'see' the text of the header. Have played with colours in Settings, General - these changes do not change the default highlight colour. I hope you're doing well. I often find Thunderbird's search function challenging to use, and I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong.

For example, I recently searched for "<company name> shipped" to locate a tracking number, but even though the email contains all these terms, Thunderbird doesn't display it.

Is Thunderbird's search function really this flawed? Have any of you found tools to make it work better?
