Difficulties opening or using a website in Firefox for Android 100

You may find that some webpages do not work correctly in Firefox for Android 100. This is due to the website has not been updated to accommodate web browser version numbers with three characters.

If this impacts a website that you often use, there is a temporary workaround:

  1. Install Firefox for Android Beta from the Google Play Store. This app will be separate to the Firefox for Android you normally use, you do not have to sign in to your Firefox Account and you can remove this app later if you wish.
  2. Open Firefox for Android Beta.
  3. Type about:config in the address bar and tap Enter to go to the about:config page.
  4. Search for the network.http.useragent.forceVersion preference.
  5. Tap in the field below the preference and set its value to 99.
  6. Close and reopen Firefox for Android Beta.
  7. Use that website on Firefox for Android Beta until the website is fixed to work correctly in a web browser with version numbers with three characters.

To help Mozilla identify the websites where this issue is occurring, it would be appreciated if you could complete this form.
