Hi I cannot click on the links in emails. They are not working, (but were yesterday) since I had to close Thunderbird for updates. I have been into the help menu which states look for 'network.protocol-handler.external-default' in case it states false however this item is not listed. So do I have to add it somehow? I am not very IT aufait so any help would be great.

have you turned you computer off and then on again after a few minutes. Often time these sorts of problems just need a cold start to fix.
