Tabs opening on their own

When I opened Firefox on my desktop this morning, there were tabs open that I did not open. The websites in those tabs were not ones that I had gone to on this computer either. The websites are ones that I visited on my Android phone. I synched the devices yesterday, I think - the process was confusing.
