How Do I Stop Duplicate Pinned Tabs?

I have a pinned tab (from Distill Monitoring addon) that always has to be pinned. And thats ok. But the problem is that every few minutes, new duplicate pinned tabs emerge so that around 5 or 8 of them emerge. I only want one pinned tab open, not several duplicate pinned tabs. How do I fix this with CSS or other means?
