bottom scrolling bar isn't showing to scroll to the right in my gmail and i can't seem to make the columns or panes less wide so i can view the entire email message at once. can anybody help this illiterate person out with this matter, please

bold text i can't scroll to the right in my inbox in gmail, nor can i make the different panes less wider, i can't get a bottom scroll bar either. what should i do? the text is already below 90% zoom and i'm having trouble seeing it that small, and then the things i want the size bigger doesn't apply to the section of the page that is needed. please help this layman person out. and thank you for your time and patience with me and this matter whether i understand it or not. bold text
