Hi!

I've been having consistent trouble getting firefox to save my passwords. I'm signed in, have all the password-managing options enabled, and I import my passwords from chrome (which I've wanted to stop using) but my saved passwords tab is always empty. The next time I use firefox and I'm logged out, it's all wiped clean. When I try to synchronize my settings and passwords after importing again, nothing happens when I click Synchronize.

I've restarted the browser many times, opened it in Troubleshoot Mode (here I was able to import, save my passwords and synchronize just fine), went on to disable all my extensions one by one, themes, and hardware acceleration, but when I opened the browser normally, the problem persisted. I don't know what to do at this point!

NOT to remove personal data? Does it give you an option for personal date not to be removed?? what about all the stored password? Can one of you tell me why all of sudden I get this error COULDN'T LOAD XPCOM? can you send me a link where to reinstall new version on top of the one I have running now Thanks

I use Firefox to access my bank account, and it autofills the personal id number, and, when I click, the 6 digit code, which I allow it to store, because no one else has access to this PC. BUT, I had to take it in for repair, and give them my Windows login details. When I got the computer back, I went to the bank login page, and the autofill was a different personal id number. Does this mean that somebody used Firefox on my machine to login to their account? Or could a reboot have meant that Firefox randomly changed the PID number? Thank-you for your help.

Switching to Protected Browser... COULDN'T LOAD XPCOM.!! it stopped a month ago and yet to get an answer , from you guys. It seems no one want to answer or try to find the error issue. Uninstall firefox and reinstall!!! No by doing that you will lose all of your data thats attached to firefox anywhere from you bookmark to user names and so on, Thas not a good solution AT ALL!!

Problem: Persistent 150 KB of Cached Web Content For several years, I have gone to “Settings” / “Privacy & Security” / “Cookies and Site Data,” clicked the Clear Data…” button, checked both “Cookies and Site Data,” and “Cached Web Content,” and clicked “Clear”, and consistently gotten BOTH “Cookies and Site Data,” and “Cached Web Content” down to “0” zero. Recently, I have been unable to “Cached Web Content” to go below “150 KB of disk space.”

         I have NOTHING listed in “Manage Cookies and Site Data” or “Exceptions -- Cookies and Site Data.”
         I have tried reinstalling, but the problem has persisted.
         On the assumption that this is malware problem, I have continued to use Mozzella VPN, but stopped using the program for browsing, etc.  Should I stop using it altogether until the problem is fixed?
         Can you tell me how to get rid of the last “150 KB” of “Cached Web Content”?

I need to know if this is a safe website for my identity as I've been a victimizing that and I don't need nobody knowing what I'm typing and what I'm googling so I say looking up on the Internet my phone is messed up and I'm taking it back to Cricket today because there was apps installed on my phone that I did not install the security issue and I need to know if this is legit and safe website to use to keep hackers out of my stuff.

One of the typical configuration in linux is to turn off the user namespaces and/or network namespaces. This is because most of the exploits in linux have been related to namespaces vulnerabilities.

If there is a Firefox ver 127.0.2, running on Linux in which the user namespace is turned off then the following is observed in the Troubleshooting information, i.e. about:support Seccomp-BPF (System Call Filtering) true Seccomp Thread Synchronisation true User Namespaces for privileged processes true User Namespaces false Content Process Sandboxing true Media Plugin Sandboxing true

So how come with the username turned off, the content process and media plugin is still sandboxed? Also is having user namespace turned off, as given above, a security risk?

However if the network namespace is turned off, i.e. max_net_namespaces is set to zero, then it renders the browser unusable. Nothing works. Why is that?

Is there some documentation somewhere where these namespaces and their impact is explained in detail?

Dear FireFox, I am writing this E-mail to address a critical issue. So i wanted to set up a password for my firefox browser so that only I can access it. i set a primary password, and it asks me to enter the password when i open my browser. However, when the message appears asking me to enter the password, you can just click "cancel" option or press 'x' it ignores the password and lets me in the browser, essentially rendering the purpose of the password useless. thus anyone can access my browser. i request you to fix this problem. I'm trying to troubleshoot a connection error and cannot find anything about 'SSL_ERROR_INSUFFICIENT_SECURITY_ALERT'? What is this trying to tell me exactly? Is there documentation or a debugging switch to elaborate this error, or is it really necessary to dig into the source code to find out about this? Even mozilla search and google comes up empty.

I'm running 115.12.0esr on Linux. I have another Linux system running 115.7.0esr that has no problem connecting to the same URL.

Hey all, Before I go to far, here... Firefox version 127.0.2 (64-bit) Windows 10 Version 10.0.19045 Build 19045 Extensions - Malwarebytes browser guard.

What I've done: Cleared cache, history, etc. etc. ran multiple system scans restart app restart windows

So how do I keep Firefox from opening pop-up for about:config? That's right, There are pop ups that firefox allow to open new tabs, and its the about:config page.

Also, every time I start typing out google in the address bar auto suggest fills in googleleadservices or something like that. I already went through all the same steps above and more. I originally thought it was just opening one of the last pages I went to, but if I've "cleared" everything as per the way firefox has it set up, why would it have any history of what the last page was?

Sometime in the last few months, Firefox (Developer Edition) stopped allowing redirects and links to file://-protocol URLs. Is there a way to re-enable this for my personal browser, e.g. via about:config or the like?

I added a secondary email to my account last September--or so I thought. My profile currently shows only the email I log in with. When I try to add a secondary email, I am told that another user has registered this email (same response for two different emails). Note that I regularly receive email from Mozilla at the secondary email address. Why isn't this showing up in my profile?

I do not have any ad blockers and have disabled "Block pop-up windows" in Firefox and turned off "Enhanced Tracking Protection" for sites but I still get the message that I am blocking ads.

I'm trying to setup MFA with DUO Mobile app, and I get past the part where I scan the QR code successfully. However, when it requests that I then enter the code generated by the app it rejects the code each and every time. My DUO app (on iPhone) is updated to the most current version as of today (6/30/2024), and my iPhone is updated to most current iOS version for iPhone 13, as of today. I add 2FA whenever possible. I was adding a new website yesterday and was unable to: FireFox (v. 127.0.2 on 64-bit Windows 10) was showing "Log in with Facebook" that was blocking one of the squares on the QR code! So I had to enter the many characters that were presented in order to add the 2FA code to Authy!

I looked in the settings and couldn't find anyway to turn that off.

How can this be fixed?

Hello everyone! I want to see every visit on a site by date and time. But in library of history it offers me to see only last visit by date(for example if i visited a site for example x.com 200 times - i want to see every date and time of every of these 200 visits, but not only recent). How to do it?

The password I've been using to access my stored payment methods is suddenly not working. I've tried using my Master (sorry, Primary) password and this doesn't work either
