Like OP here https://support.mozilla.org/fr/questions/1002684 I have the same problem:

Using firefox 30.0 on archlinux walking the streets with street view with new google map release suddenly turns into balck screen. Leaving street view make screen ok. Chromium on Linux does not show similar problem on same places (works great). I guess it's due to firefox.

As suggested I create this new question.

I'm having similar problems with Street View on openSUSE. For the time being you can try to switch back to the classic Google Maps.
