I have recently purchased a HP 15 notebook with 8.1. I use mostly desktop with latest Mozilla. All of my icons usually found at the bottom of the screen have migrated to the right side of the screen and bunched up I can't move them back. I've tried customize to no avail. I'm 75 but strive to remain current but this has me baffled.

Sorry, that is a Windows support question, the Windows Task Bar is not part of Firefox. I don't use Windows 8.1 myself, and I don't know if the process is the same as on my Windows XP - but maybe click-hold and drag that bar to the bottom might work like on WinXP.
