I'm press to download .torrent file (before this all .torrent files associated with uTorrent.exe application) and always have popup with question "what application use for this type of files?"

I'm select "Do this automatically for files like this from now on." and it doesn't work. Popup always do that again.

And this sometimes happen with another mime types of files... other browsers (opera, chrome) after press link to .torrent file open the uTorrent instantly.

I'm so sorry for my bad English.

Deleting the mimeTypes.rdf will reset all download actions to the default settings.

Type about:support in the address bar and press enter.

Under the page logo on the left side you will see Application Basics. Under this find Profile Folder. To it’s right press the button Show Folder. This will open your file browser to the current Firefox profile. Now Close Firefox.

Locate the file. Then rename or delete it. Restart Firefox.

"Do this automatically for files like this from now on." only work s if the server in sending the files with a recognized and supported MIME (content) type. If the server would send the file(s) with a generic content type then it won't work.

But "Content-Type: application/x-bittorrent" is right, and other internet browsers such as opera and chrome recognize them and open in right application...

this is bug of Firefox or i can repair that? that problem i have at all torrent sites (no matter what server is send file, much of them use right mime types)

may be Firefox have addon what can replace download action popup with other or customize it?

Thank you, this is best solution.

p.s. I'm hope in next versions developers will change recognize mime type method or make some setting for personal choice.

Glad to help. I found that while I was poking around the Mozilla Add-ons Web Page {web link} (There’s a lot of good stuff here) Just search for what you want.
