Sometimes when I attempt to shut down, a box appears stating something about an ISO. Prompts are continue and cancel. A little spinning multicolor circle appears. I can't do anything...continue, cancel or shut down the computer. What is this? How do I get rid of it?

Typically with computers it refers to an ISO image file, which is an archive file of an optical disc. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_image

If that is happening when you go to shut down that Mac computer, it might be best to see a Mac UserGroup for help.

Did you ever downloaded an ISO file?

You can check for unfinished downloads in the Downloads Manager (Library).
