It doesn't matter what I am doing. I could be just looking through pages or checking my email to watching videos from family on my emails. It CRASHES!!! It starts to slow down a lot and then it either stops responding or just shuts down for no reason. Takes forever to start up again.

I tried every thing Firefox has told me to do and still crashing. I've been dealing with this and trying to get it fixed for 2 weeks now. I use to love Firefox, but now thinking of trying a different browser if this isn't fixed. PLEASE FIX THIS....

Norton showed where to exclude things from Autoprotect Open Norton Administrative Settings. Under Performance Monitoring, find Program Exclusions. To its far right, press the Configure + link.

You will have to add each program one at a time from the Mozilla Firefox and Mozilla Maintenance Service<Windows> folders..

It is going to crash again. It's slowing down. I will keep trying to get on here with you until it closes.

this one particular crash report you've mentioned is caused by symantec's intrusion prevention that is hooking into the browser. i'm not really sure what to recommend here other to uninstall this software or look for any available updates or to contact symantec's support about the issue as well...

Symantec is my Norton. I have the Norton toolbar. Is that causing my problem?

when you have something called "norton vulnerability protection" or similar in the firefox menu ≡ > addons > extensions panel, you should probably keep it disabled for the moment since this appears to be the component of norton causing the crash report you've referenced above.
