Just installed Firefox 41 in Fedora 17 & Youtube videos freeze, but sound continues, moving cursor temporarily restors video.

Was running an older version of Firefox in Fedora 17 without any difficulties. Old Firefox 12 ran perfectly. Updated it to Firefox 41. Then the problems began. First, Youtube videos load much much slower with Firefox 41. Second, and most importantly, in Firefox 41, Youtube videos freeze, but sound continues. Moving the cursor will restart the video (in sync) with the sound, but then the problem quickly reoccurs. Adobe Flash not loaded. Put Firefox into Safe mode. Turned off the hardware accelerator. Have no add-ons or plug-ins listed other than default. Nothing helped. The problem remains. Machine: Dell Optiplex 360 (64 bit) Using Gnome.
