Using the following options to set the default Search Engine under Mozilla.cfg doesn't work in Firefox 38.4.0 ESR

pref("browser.search.countryCode", "US"); pref("browser.search.defaultenginename.US", "data:text/plain,browser.search.defaultenginename.US=Google"); pref("browser.search.geoSpecificDefaults", false); pref("browser.search.highlightCount", 0); pref("browser.search.region", "US"); pref("browser.search.selectedEngine", "Google");
