We have several users from a customer having random hang with their Firefox V35. I do not have crash reports, only hanging for some time. And no pattern identified so far. This happen while they work on a corporate domain with SalesForce page in console mode, where a Genesys Adapter is loaded too. While both Genesys (genesys.com) and Salesforce (salesforce.com) support groups are analyzing this issue, we noticed that the hanging is only with Firefox. When using Chrome we do not have any hanging. Issue seems very random we have not found a pattern yet. We tried Firefox in safe mode, disabling all extensions, plugins, and logging javascript console, analyzing this in parallel with network traces and we could see that messages are arriving on time in network, but their processing is delayed on the user PC due to Firefox hanging for some time. We have been suspecting a performance issue. All PCs have 4GB RAM and a dual CPU 2.7 GHz. But when moving to 8GB RAM, we still get the issue. And users with 4GB RAM that were move to Chrome for a test, do not experience the issue. So everything is pointing to an issue with Firefox Browser. So we are looking for a Firefox Expert that could help us find what's wrong. (We want to stay on Firefox). We have been browsing the support pages and tried several remedies proposed (specifically on hanging subject) but with no luck. We have some firefox logs (100 MB) that we can share showing issue.

Have you tried a newer version of Firefox?

This forum is set up for end user support and deals with the currently supported versions of Firefox. Firefox 44.0 and ESR 38.6 .

Firefox 35 was released in Jan 2015 - support for that version ended when Firefox 36 came out 6 weeks later.

There is an Extended Support Release (supported for 54 weeks) which is currently based upon Firefox 38. And the ESR 45 version will be available for testing within a few weeks.
