Apparently in the latest release (45.0) the block algorithm changed as nearly all messages remote content is blocked. When two messages are sent from the same address I have to manually unblock the remote content for both messages.

It appears that the algorithm has changed. Now the emphasis is to add the web host of the visuals that are drawn into the mail message rather than the sent-from address.

I'll select those web hosts for a while and see if more messages can be viewed without fiddling around with Options...

I'm running 45.2.0 and remote content has only stopped loading in the last two or three days (early September 2016). I have tried not allowing remote content and then in the message option, one by one, allowing it but to no avail. I tried turning off the anti-virus program but that had no effect.

There must be a reasonable explanation for this but I can't think of it. Any other ideas out there?

No need to start a new topic. The problem "magically" went away. I provided no input to Tbird at all and it began to act normally all by itself.

Who knows?
