When I go into my mozilla and then look at my yahoo email, the mozilla page takes 3/4 of my screen, I cannot see my email and hate this a lot! What can I do? I have tried to use positioning cursor to move over and it will not work. I am stuck.  :-(

Are you clicking a bookmark to view your email? And the email is opening on the left side is an expandable sidebar? You can fix the bookmark to direct it to the main area of the tab as follows:

  • right-click your bookmark
  • choose Properties from the menu
  • in the lower right corner of the Properties dialog, uncheck the box for "Load this bookmark in the sidebar"

Then OK the change and you can test it.

Was that it?

If not, could you describe the layout you're seeing in more detail, or attach a screenshot? This article has tips on capturing screenshots: How do I create a screenshot of my problem? Please cut out or blur any sensitive information in the image before attaching it to a reply.

That Yahoo login window is in the Sidebar as Jefferson suspected.

Are you using a bookmark to reach that page?

Does this hyperlink work better for you? https://login.yahoo.com/ or this one https://login.yahoo.com/m

The change to the bookmark will affect how it works in the future. For the already open page, log out of Yahoo Mail in the sidebar if you can and close the sidebar. Then you can load Yahoo Mail in the main part of the tab using either the updated bookmark, or typing mail in the address bar and Firefox should offer Yahoo Mail as one of your previously visited sites and you can click it there.

You all rock! Thank you so much!! I was so frustrated I walked away & then came back & went to menu in right corner and changed my start page to yahoo and so far so good (fingers crossed).

So weird but when I clicked on my Mozilla icon, it automatically pulled up yahoo in the side bar like you are talking about. I x'd out of the sidebar yahoo and then changed the start up page.

I sure am glad there are tech savvy people out there to help me! I really, really really appreciate it!! I have been out of work since beginning of March and everything that could go wrong has gone wrong and this just about put me over the edge. Thank you for giving me a positive thing today and for helping me just because you wanted to! It means more than you know! Cheers! Have a wonderful day!

Very grateful Shari in Michigan  :-)
