So you are getting the same messages ? Did you follow the solutions that were offered in https://support.mozilla.org/no/questions/1178479 : It is possible that security software (anti-virus, firewall) is causing the problem. Try to disable security software temporarily to see if that makes a difference. Check for updates and check the forums of your security programs for anything relating to the issue and to Firefox

Boot the computer in Windows Safe Mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen or hold down the Shift key) to see if that has effect.

We can help more with on this issue if the above does not solve the issue.

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

I removed completely my Avast security program. Made no difference.

I have no wish to go into safe mode, unless I am applying a specific fix to a specific problem.

I don't know why you would suggest the same solutions as per the last person. They advised that after one month and no solution they changed browsers to Vivaldi. It seems to me that your reply was stock standard with no actually thought to the problem.

I note this site.

https://www.w3cschool.cn/doc_css/css--moz-force-broken-image-icon.html The problem appears to be specific to Mozilla.?

The newscorp sites are probably the largest in Australia and I have been subscribing for some years. They take thousands of comments every day and I have never had a problem before.

Just downloaded the new Firefox Quantum and the problem is now gone.

Just after I had changed everything over to Vivaldi, so I could operate.

Whilst it is great to have the problem fixed and I can now continue to use Firefox, it is a shame that support did absolutely nothing to assist with the problem. That is another problem in itself.

I sure hope that with 'support' you don't mean this support  ? For Pkshadow tried his best to help you ......

I sure do mean this support.

Clearly the response from support was a generic cut and paste of the response to the other user who had already said it didn't make any difference and finally changed browser. ( As I had to do as well)

Newscorp stated it was a known problem with Firefox.... which I posted on here. Did support examine the issue and/or offer a solution. NOPE. However a few days later, there is a new version of Firefox (Quantum) out and lo and behold the problem is fixed.

Denying there was an issue within the Firefox program, which clearly there was.... is not "support".
