Why is Capture and Print no longer supported?

I use that add-on daily and there is no comparable replacement. No other add-ons do what Capture and Print does. It allows you to capture the entire page, not just what is visible.

That extension hasn't been updated in almost 3 years and is no longer compatible with Firefox.

Here is the "support thread" for that add-on - the tail end of a multi page thread: http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?f=48&t=2318993&start=165

My guess is that is that the developer of that extension has abandoned it. As to why - I can't answer that.
