How do I downgrade to Firefox 57.0?

more options

Our family uses Net Nanny to filter content on our Mac. It is not compatible with Firefox updates. After speaking with them, I need to downgrade my Firefox to 57.0. Is there a way to do this? I really love using Firefox, but will have to switch if I can't use Net Nanny.

Hi Carrie, did Net Nanny provide any more information about the issue?

What is the problem with Firefox 58.0.2 at the moment -- is it accessing the internet without restriction, or is it unable to connect to any secure sites, or something else?

Thank you for sharing your add-ons list. Did you try re-enabling the (disabled) extension "Net Nanny Enhanced 0.0.7" to see whether that makes any difference?

You can view, enable/disable, and often remove extensions on the Add-ons page. Either:

  • Command+Shift+a (Windows: Ctrl+Shift+a)
  • "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
  • type or paste about:addons in the address bar and press Enter/Return

In the left column of the Add-ons page, click Extensions.

Then check the list on the right side.

If you absolutely cannot use Firefox 58 and need Firefox 57 instead, see: Install an older version of Firefox.
