I know how to forward a single email attached to a new email but I need to attach more than one to the same new email.

You can save the messages to be attached as .eml files. Select the message in the thread pane, then File (Alt-F) - Save as - File

You can then attach the saved .eml files to the message you're going to send.

Drag and drop messages from the thread pane to the attachment box may also work.

Thank you very much. I used the first option and it worked. (I am never quite sure what is meant by 'the thread pane' but I took a guess and used the listing of emails,) and it worked!! We 'mature' people live and learn (slowly)!
