You will have to change the related browser.cache.disk pref directly on the about:config page.
- browser.cache.disk.capacity
You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. You can accept the warning and click "I accept the risk!" to continue.

It was user-adjustable in Options. Why was it taken away? Will it be taken away in 'Config' also?

Hi Daryl, Firefox recomputes the optimum cache size from time to time, maybe at startup, maybe on a schedule, I'm not sure. To prevent Firefox from overriding your new cache size:
(1) In a new tab, type or paste about:config in the address bar and press Enter/Return. Click the button promising to be careful or accepting the risk.
(2) In the search box above the list, type or paste disk and pause while the list is filtered
(3) Double-click the browser.cache.disk.smart_size.enabled preference to switch the value from true to false
That's what the "Override automatic cache management" checkbox changed in older versions.
Hi Pj, you can research your questions by searching in Bugzilla: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/
No, it won't be removed from the about:config page.
- bug 1444085 - Limit cache setting has been removed as of Firefox 60? Was this intentional?
