How to print draft emails with the default headers (Date, Subject, To)?

I need to be able to print draft emails with the default headers (Date, Subject, To, CC:, BCC:), but TB will only print the body of the email, nothing else.

It won't print any headers, whether from the Compose window or by saving to the Drafts folder then opening and printing from there.

Eudora, Apple Mail, and most other mail programs will do this. Why doesn't TB?

I need to print all outgoing email, with headers, prior to sending so that my employer can proof them, and mark them up with a pen (yes, he's old-school).

I'm using Thunderbird for Mac 52.9.1.

Aha, so I have to print from the Message Pane! (Or, I also notice, I can also just select the message in the Drafts mailbox and hit 'print'.)

Clumsy, but it works.

Many thanks!

If you opened email and highlighted the text then it will only print what you highlighted.

Select email so you can read it in Message Pane, do not highlight anything. 'Menu icon' > 'Print' > 'Print Preview'

You should see: Basic headers followed by email content.
