I'm not sure what firefox lockbox is. Is it for securing passwords? Would appreciate any help. Thanks!

Thank you James... I'm an "oldie" and am looking for saving all of my passwords in one safe place. Could you recommend one for me and how to set it up? I would appreciate it. Thank you, Amaryllis

Lockbox is what you are looking for to sync and save all your login and password information in a secure place. There are alternatives available but are paid or subscription based (1Password, LastPass, Dashlane for example).

Currently Lockbox is only available for iOS devices and specific regions for now. If you are signed into your Firefox account on your desktop it is saving and syncing login details to your account. If you download the Lockbox app to your iPhone or iPad and sign in with the same Firefox account it will allow you to access the same details as you have stored from your desktop browser.

In the event that the passwords information is lost, you should record all information in a separate text file somewhere else on your hard drive, or written down. You can easily copy and paste if you need to do so. If you are concerned about someone else looking at that file, you can compress it using a password.

That's the best way to do it. I'm not sure if it's safe, but I screenshot the sites I go to, put text into the screenshot and store it in a folder with an odd name. ........ AR

WHY! Is Lockbox only available to iOS users? Are Android users less important? We have just as many passwords to remember!
