Is there currently any way to get a sound notification of receipt of an email from a particular address? I tried mailbox alert and a filter to direct mail to a particular folder but it seems it doesn't work with the current version of thunderbird - https://addons.thunderbird.net/en-US/thunderbird/addon/mailbox-alert/

It seems that tonequilla doesn't work with the current version either.

This would be such a useful thing for me, but is it simply not possible any more?

Thanks.

I haven't tested Mailbox Alert, but as an alternative, you could use FiltaQuilla to add the Launch File action to filters, and select a sound file that plays when a new message arrives (see picture).
