Adobe Flash Update: New Version Fixes a Critical Vulnerability.
Does anyone else have their Flash Plug-in NOT auto-update? I've been watching the last few Flash Updates from Adobe for a while and for me, they do not Auto-Update. I had to manually install version 32.0.0.171. I've manually installed the Adobe Shockwave Flash for years, but only recently waited to see if it would Auto-Update.
I noticed with the two other Plug-ins, they have Update buttons for Default / On / Off. The Flash Plug-in does not have these buttons. Is this why it does not / will not Auto-Update?

Hey Pj, I bet that you're not the only one who doesn't know this, but Adobe Flash Player is installed on your operating system - it shows in Firefox as "Shockwave Flash" in the 3-bar menu => Add-ons => Plugins. Once Flash is updated on your OS (and it will automatically update once you've set it to in the Flash Player Settings Manager) Shockwave Flash will be updated as well ......

You can set Adobe Flash to update automatically in the Flash Player Settings Manager :

Once you've done that, you won't have to worry about it
anymore .....
In case it wasn't obvious:
Firefox doesn't handling the updating of the Flash NPAPI plugin. That needs to be managed externally to Firefox, and Firefox will learn of the change from an updated Registry entry (since the file name changes with each update).
Ug. StooPid me. When grabbed the latest, I realized by habit, I've always clicked the Notify Me... button.

NPAPI Plugins including the only one (Flash Player) allowed to run in Firefox since Fx 52.0 are never actually installed in Firefox like Extensions and Themes, dictionaries, language pack are.
In the Location (address) bar type about:plugins as it should show you where the Flash layer Plugin is actually on your system when on Windows, Mac or Linux.
Firefox can come with the other Plugins as to why you have some update options there.

You got it right ! (the Adobe Flash thingy)
This is odd. When I open about:plugins then I only see the plug names and for Flash the MIME types. If I press F5 or click Reload then all other data appears like file name and path and full version. I had noticed before that this additional data was missing, but hadn't try a reload
