Hi tonyroder, was it a theme that you installed from the Add-ons site which created the yellow background (or was it yellow text?), or did you use the Firefox Color extension, or did you have some rules in a userChrome.css file?

As I best remember, jscher, it might have been when I transferred my Firefox settings from a desktop to a laptop, and modified an FF file according to instructions I read on this forum some two years ago, I wish I could be more precise than that, but....

Thanks jscher, but at the risk of looking a gift horse in the mouth, it's the wrong yellow. The one I was using was lighter, brighter, friendlier.
