How do I confirm that a message is junk?
I get an item of junk mail, Thunderbird says it thinks it is junk, but does nothing else. How can I confirm that yes, it IS junk, and get it and similar items sent to another folder? My only options seem to be to delete it, or to mark it as NOT junk. I don't seem to have a junk folder to move it to, either.

Junk filtering, uses folder names specific to the server, some are junk, some are spam and some are language specific variants. So the issue is do you have a folder names junk or spam or something similar? In the case of an IMAP server, the server often specifies the folder that is to be considered junk/spam. Does the junk/spam folder have the flame icon on it? Who is you mail provider? (This stuff is provider specific.)
Finally does you anti virus/internet security suite has some sort of spam or scam detection? This often interacts badly with Thunderbird.

I see - thank you. I'll have to do some investigating at the Plusnet end of things. See what I find now I know where to look!
Thanks!
