The emoticons available in Thunderbird are very limited. Is there an addon I can get that is expanded?

I searched the add-on site and at least two were listed. https://addons.thunderbird.net/en-US/thunderbird/search/?q=emoji&appver=&platform=

Thank you, Matt!

I downloaded the addon and followed instructions then restarted Thunderbird. But I have no idea how to use these. I went through Add-ons but see the Emoji Menu in Extensions. Are there any instructions as to how to use. The description says to use 'a quick drop-down menu' which I cannot find. Thanks for any help!

What add-on? I am not a mind reader and the link has more than one.

Assuming it is Emoji 1.68.1 as it is compatible with the current release version of Thunderbird (68) then I suggest you use the view menu to turn on the promised sidebar.

Note, I just went to the add-on page for instructions. I have never used the add-on nor do I have a use for extended Emoji's so I am only repeating what the page says.

If you're on Windows 10, the emoji and symbols menu is available from Windows key + . (period).

I downloaded the second one on the link as my version is 60.9.1 and says it is up to date. I don't know how to get anything more current. Sorry, I don't expect you to be a mindreader as, apparently Mozilla expects me to be. I don't see anything about a sidebar on the view menu, either so have no idea what you are talking about - I'm not a mindreader, either.

Thanks! I first tried the Windows key and the + key and got a 200% larger screen. Then tried the 'period' key not +. How would I find this out in any user guide? Magic? Also, any ideas how to access what I downloaded, emoji_menu-2.0-tb.xpi, the second listed on the link. I also downloaded the first one but I don't have vs 68 and don't know how to get it as mine says it is current at 60.9.1. Thanks for your help!

If you've downloaded the xpi for Emoji Menu 2.0, open Tools/Add-ons/Extensions in TB, click the gear icon next to Search, Install add-on from file..., select the xpi file.

Same procedure for Emoji, but for TB 60, download v. 1.6.1:

The W10 emoji keyboard has been available for about two years, but you could easily overlook it if you're not in the habit of reading Windows release notes.
