I'm a firefox/ubuntu newbie and I'm trying to open magnet links for torrenting. I have the FF config network protocol handler expose magnet set to false, and when I clicked on the magnet link I selected the Transmission file. When I click on a magnet link it now opens Transmission automatically, as it should. However no torrent file is ever displayed or downloaded. I am open to any suggestions. Perhaps a port needs to be opened?

Open Firefox and then type in about:config in the Address Bar and hit Enter button.

   Type in enter handler.expose in the search box at the top of the list.
   right click-->New--> Boolean
   Enter the preference name network.protocol-handler.expose.magnet
   Set its value to false.
   Click on the magnet link and you should see Firefox’s Launch Application Choose Dialog
   Select your torrent client.

Thanks, I've already done that. When I click on the magnet link my magnet client loads fine. But no torrent file appears.
