Hello atgi005,

You should see a blue   "Ask Now"   button here :

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/new/thunderbird

Do you see it ?

Ok since these forums are not intuitive I will just start typing anyplace I can to get instructions on creating a new topic so I can resolve problems I am having with Thunderbird Email

The other day I created a topic and since closed the browser and have no clue how to return, MOST forums have a link or button that says "Your Post" you click it and it list ALL the post you have ever made on that site listed newest to oldest.

Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask I have no idea where the right place might be.

I have made a copy of this post so I can cut and paste it since I have no idea how to return here.

Thanks in advance.

@ rustyp :

I clicked on your avatar and saw that the only other thread you posted in is
here on the Thunderbird support forum :

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1295139

Your profile doesn't show any thread that you started yourself (?)

I had a problem similar to that of the OP: It took me close to an hour going in circles trying to find how to post to Thunderbird support forum until I've finally found this thread, with the link posted ( https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/new/thunderbird ).

The problem is that when you log in top support.mozilla.org, there is no easy way to get to that page. When you get to the support forums (e.g. via "Get Help" -> "Browse all forum products" -> "Show all products" and then choose the "Thunderbird", you get to this page instead: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/thunderbird , which has no "ask now".

Also, if you find support forum postings from "Find help" search field at the top on the right, you have no way to read the entire thread or to reply to a thread.

If you want to investigate that, - create a new account, and try to find how to post to Thunderbird support (or, say, Firefox Support) forum. You will see this problem.

tl;dr: There should be an easy way to post to the support forum and to read (and reply to) the entire thread - once you log in to support.mozilla.org

You actually need to click the Volunteer button at the top of the page. At the bottom of the get-involved page you will notice:

  • Having trouble with a Mozilla product and want some help? Ask a question

Which brings you to https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/new where you can select the right component.

See also this article with a button that brings you to the same 'new' page:
