Hi, this problem is on your Mac?

You can change the "steps" that Firefox uses with Command+ and Command- to meet your own needs (at least for web pages; PDFs have their own scale). Here's where to check on that:

(1) In a new tab, type or paste about:config in the address bar and press Enter/Return. Click the button accepting the risk.

(2) In the search box in the page, type or paste toolkit.zoomManager.zoomValues and pause while the list is filtered

The default value has several steps between 100% (written as 1) and 170% (written as 1.7):

.3,.5,.67,.8,.9,1,1.1,1.2,1.33,1.5,1.7,2,2.4,3,4,5

(3) To restore the default, click the left-arching reset button at the far right of that bar. To edit the value, double-click the current value to display an editing field where you can add or remove steps, then press Enter or click the blue check mark button to save the change.

Can you get it to work the way you need?

Regarding menus, there is a zoom row on the main menu, and an optional set of buttons for the toolbar that you can install from the Customize panel.
