still bookmark issues with WIN 7 since latest two updates!
Since the last two updates of 92.0 and 92.01, there is a major lag issue with my bookmark list. When you hover the cursor over a particular folder or link, it takes forever for it to be highlighted. In addition, the favicon associated with any particular link takes forever to populate. The bookmarks worked perfect prior to version 92.0. Being that I am a WIN 7 user, it would appear that whatever the developers did beginning with 92.0, had great affect to WIN 7 users, which implies that maybe other WIN 7 users may also be having the identical issues with their bookmarks. The developers should fix this issue ASAP in the next update. There is no excuse for this issue to be occurring.

Start Firefox using Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode {web link}
A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?
If you have sync, and there is a problem anywhere, Shut Down Sync Immediately On All Devices to prevent the problem from spreading. Type https://accounts.firefox.com/settings<enter> in the address bar. Once the problem is fixed, perform the same repair on all computers/profiles before using sync again.
[v57+] Places Maintenance is built into Firefox.
Type about:support<enter> in the address bar.
You will find Places Database near the bottom. Press the Verify Integrity button.
If any errors are reported: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/fix-bookmarks-and-history-will-not-be-functional
The places.sqlite file contains your History and Bookmarks. And it looks like it is corrupted.
Type about:support<enter> in the address bar.
Under the page logo on the left side, you will see Application Basics. Under this find Profile Folder. To its right press the button Show Folder. This will open your file browser to the current Firefox profile. Now Close Firefox.
Locate the above file. Then rename or delete it. Restart Firefox. The browser should then create a new place.sqlite and recover your bookmarks from the backup files.
Note: Your history is not backed up and will be lost.
Tried every measure that you wrote and none of it worked. A complete waste of my time. Although, I do appreciate your time in trying to help.
Many have reported issues using the 64bit Firefox. Install the 32bit version from; Download Firefox For All languages And Systems {web link}
In case the site icons database is to blame for both problems, and possibly on the verge of corruption or failure, I suggest making extra backups of your bookmarks in both possible formats:
- Restore bookmarks from backup or move them to another computer (Manual Backup section; this article also describes how to restore should that become necessary)
- Export Firefox bookmarks to an HTML file to back up or transfer bookmarks (this is an older format that can be imported if needed using: Import Bookmarks from an HTML file)
