Good Morning,

How to keep imported messages from another email provider into thunderbird and not sent back to other email provider After an update with thunderbird my emails will stay in thunderbird but will not disappear in my other email provider, after they have gone to thunderbird

I hope this explains my problem and can this be fixed

Thank You Joanne

Is this an IMAP or POP account? Who is your provider(s) and how exactly did you import said messages?

Hi Stan

It is an IMAP Acct with Eastlink

If I open my Eastlink acct first my messages will be there, after signing out & opening Thunderbird the messages will open in TB. If I go back and open Eastlink acct the messages would still be there. Before your last update the messages in Eastlink would have been gone, now they are still there. Can this be fixed

Thank You Joanne

I'm afraid you've got things mixed up. This is exactly how IMAP has been working for ages. Messages are not removed from a server after they've been downloaded via IMAP. That's a POP thing, not IMAP.
