I may be mistaken but it looks to me as if the name displayed in the "From" column of the message list isn't updated if the display name is modified in the address book. For example, I receive a message from joe@someplace.com who appears in my address book as "Joe", so the "From" column shows "Joe". If I then edit the details of Joe in the address book to modify the display name to be "Joseph", I would expect that the message list would show "Joseph". But instead the display continues to display "Joe". Am I misinterpreting something? Am I doing this wrong? --john Ver 91.7.0 for Linux

when the list index used to populate the user interface is next updated I would expect a change. I am not aware of any process that monitors the address book entry for change and triggers an index update. Really I would only expect automatic update post a compact event as other than repair that is the only time the index is fully reexamined.

You can force it by right clicking the folder, selecting properties and then the repair button.
