New mail notifications - repeating over and over again (after a while)

more options

Hi,

I'm using Thunderbord 102.4.0 on my mac. Problems exist few years ago - it forced me to switch to other mail client.

When I get new email there is a sound and popup notification. The problem is - i need to go to Thunderbird and click this new e-mail. Otherwise Thunderbird will be repeating this sound and popup notification about new email over and over agan. I need to stop doing what I'm doing and go to Thunderbird, and click / read this new message. Only this will solve notofications repeating about this new mail.

It's a bug or feature? Does Thunderbird can't notify me only once about new e-mail?
