I'm not sure what's so strange about it. Google is a search engine and works in every browser.

Yeah, Google is a search engine, but I chose Foxfire for my default browser! Duh!

Hi

Firefox is a web browser that uses Google as a search engine to help you to search and find content online. This guide will help you if you wish to use a different search engine in Firefox:

Mozilla the company that makes the Firefox web browser does not have a Search Engine of their own. Firefox comes with a number of search engines with one being the default depending on language you download. The Google search engine is the default on many languages.

You can change the search engine to whatever one you want to use as the article linked above will show you how.
