FFox keeps starting with a session from more than a month ago, despite deleting every file with the words `session' & `prefs' - with repeated thanks to those who offered suggestions
A few weeks ago I asked a question about why, despite having selected `start with my last session' in options, FFox keeps starting with a session more than a month old & not my current session - - At 1st Chris Ilias suggested deleting sessionstore.js, so I did & I thought it solved the problem, but the unwanted session came back, so I asked again & cor-el suggested looking at a site which told me to turf prefs.js & when I found a file so-named which was at least a month old, I turfed it & again I thought it solved my problem - - However while it did when I restarted FFox without rebooting, it worked, but last night I shut everything down & when I started up this morn, FFox started up with the damn session from a month ago ... again! - - Man! - - The session from more than a month ago is like a zombie from a bad horror flick & just refuses to die
This happened
Every time Firefox opened
== about a month or more ago

Did you do a System Restore on Windows? Do you have other software that might have placed back such an old copy?
Dear Cor-El,
Thanks for both of your suggestions, but right after I turned-off system restore, I shut down FFox & thought, `Why not restart the browser before I shut down everything?' - - Of course I was very happy when it came up perfectly, exactly the way it just was
Unfortunately, it was the high point, since I then decided to shut everything down & when FFox restarted again, the session from at least more than a month ago, came back, *again* ... the same session which now has all the hallmarks of being unkillable - along with the usual strident strands of musical mayhem, almost always accompanying the return of the zombie
So, wouldn't it be great if instead of `show my windows & tabs from last time', it read, `...from THIS time' & worked?
