Alt key doesn't bring up "tools" tab and other

I was updating Firefox and somehow lost bar with the "tools" tab. So now I can change my home. The ALT dud not bring it up.......How can I get my toolbars back?

Not sure how often

My son loading a lanhuage translator called "White" something and must have hit the wrong key. So now we can't reset our home . The bar with Home icon and "Tools" icon are no longer visible. Please help us

Hit the F11 key. You may be in the Full Screen mode (but that should have reset itself when you closed and re-opened Firefox).
