How can I delete temporary files, cookies, & history but keep my (bookmarks) such as cookies & temporary internet files that enable bookmark websites to retain preferences .
I use Internet Explorer to open my Facebook account. When I open Facebook it keeps my login name so I don't have to keep typing it in. I recently installed Firefox to use for my Facebook. However, every time I log in on Facebook it keeps asking for my login name. What can I do so that I can do the same thing with Firefox that I do with Internet Explorer. With Internet Explorer, I can delete my temporary files, cookies, & history every day, but it is set up so that my (Favorites) such as cookies & temporary internet files that enable favorite websites can retain these preferences. I don't see where I can to this with Firefox. It's either delete everything or keep everything including passwords. I don't want to keep passwords. I prefer typing them in. I want to just delete the other temporary files, cookies, & history. If you need further information, please contact me. Also do you think this may be a Facebook problem and not a Firefox problem.

You can let cookies expire if you exit Firefox and make an allow exception for Facebook and other sites that you want to remember you.
See Enhanced Tracking Protection in Firefox for desktop
If you use Delete browsing, search and download history on Firefox then all cookies will be deleted including the ones that you made an exception for, so do not use that to clear the cookies.
