can i switch between firefox and ms explorer

I purchase an ipad and use a special communication software on it. To back up the files to my desktop computer, (HP runnings windows with MS exployer as browser) I need to use a wifi connection through firefox or safari. If I download firefox will I still beable to use explorer, and switch back and forth as needed?

Sure, you can install and use as many browsers at the same time as you like.
Only one browser can be the default browser that is used if you click a link or HTML file in an external program (e.g. email or Windows Explorer).
